Hi there, I’m Karen!

Karen L Hartzenberg

She’s a general practitioner. Originally from Cape Town, South Africa, she moved to Mauritius with her
husband and has been working full-time at CARE since September 2018.
She has been working in a private medical practice for more than 10 years, caring for folks through all phases of life. She is particularly passionate about helping people prevent illness and achieve optimal well-being and vitality. She has a deep knowledge of nutrition science, specific to weight loss and diabetes management.
Another passion is aesthetic medicine. It’s true that if you look good you feel good, so she offers noninvasive procedures to improve skin quality and remove wrinkles.
Outside work, she likes spending time with her husband. They both love dance-fitness, especially Zumba, and she was blessed to participate as a lead performer in the Cape Town Carnival for a number of years. She’s also a licensed Zumba instructor – if she’s not at work, you are likely find her dancing at the gym!
